CLASS TASK
To research our chosen topics by going through our previous lecture materials, looking at the references on Moodle, using those as a starting point to explore the topic further by gathering more sources
Here are keywords that I collected from reading sources that interest me:
– Storytelling: The art of conveying stories through various mediums
– 3D Environment: A digitally created space where narratives can unfold
– AI Model: An artificial intelligence system designed to simulate aspects of human intelligence
– Dataset: A collection of data that the AI model uses to learn and make decisions
– AI-Generated Images: Visual content created by AI, based on the dataset
– Integration: Combining AI-generated images with the AI model to enhance storytelling within the 3D environment
– AI Sound: Audio elements designed by AI to complement the visual storytelling experience
– Lumen5: An AI-powered video creation platform that transforms text into engaging video content
– Sound Draw: An AI music tool that creates soundtracks for digital content
– Frame VR: A virtual reality setup featuring two rooms, one created by a human and the other by AI, each mimicking the other style
– Looka: An AI tool for designing logos that represent the themes of the project
– Deep Nostalgia: A service that animates still photos, adding life to historical figures or characters in a story
– MURF: An AI audio platform capable of generating speech in different languages, useful for multilingual storytelling
– Sofia Crespo: An artist known for her work with biological artificial life, which could inspire the project’s aesthetic or thematic elements
I will continue to develop my research for next week
We also walked around CCI facilities and explored what resources were available to us for our project
PRE RECORDED LECTURE
Documentation should be conducted throughout the creative process, not only at the end. Documentation acts like a creative recipe; if done well, it allows others to understand your process. It demonstrates that you can consistently produce work of the same quality.
Design thinking is a model that is widely recognized as an iterative process. Documenting your work is beneficial for review, allowing you to evaluate your process and identify where things may have gone wrong.
People have different preferences for taking notes; some opt to sketch out ideas on paper in sketchbooks. To the right, I have provided a simple representation of the design process pathways used by design studios.
Failures should be documented as well. When writing documentation, avoid technical jargon and aim the text at individuals who have no technical background.
The process of documentation should include:
- An overview of the task description
- Concept and background research
- The design process
- The outcome
- Images
- Evaluation
